Microsoft XBox emulators
The X box is the first game console made by Microsoft. The X Box uses modified x86 compatible hardware. With the leaked SDK for the X Box, the “scene” for this console has had many homebrew games, demos, and even emulators written that ran directly from the X Box. Since it was basically an Intel Pentium 3 running @ 733mhz, the console was strong enough to handle most general emulators that were written for the PC. The X Box has MAME, Atari, Nintendo, Sega, and even a Playstation emulator that will run on modded X Box consoles. Because however these were coded using the leaked SDK, they can not be posted on websites for legal reasons. At the time I purchased my X Box, I was quite pleased at all the emulators available for it, since i could play it off my 55″ HDTV, especially since the Colecovision was my favorite console ever, and the emulator for it is basically perfect. Others found that the X Box was great for running games / emulators / homebrew off a hard drive. Those with the proper knowledge could easily swap out the generic X Box 8 gig hard drive, and add upto 300 gigs for storage. The X Box however never gained the popularity the Sony Playstation 2 did.
