WinVICE 2.0
VICE (Versatile Commodore Emulator) is an emulator for the Commodore 8Bit computer range. The Windows port of VICE is called WinVICE and emulates the C64, the C128, the VIC20, all PET models (except the SuperPET 9000), the PLUS4 and the CBM-II (aka C610). Every system can be accessed by an executable file (e.g. x64.exe for the C64). WinVice is the also one of the few, free Commodore 64/128 emulators available for Windows. There are other emulators that aren’t nearly as complete that are free, and some that require payment to us. WinVice is my choice for Commodore 64 emulation. Currently, VICE is one of the most widely-used emulators of the Commodore 8-bit microcomputers.[citation needed] It is also one of the few usable Commodore emulators to exist on free *NIX platforms, and one of the first to be distributed under GNU GPL.
