Sony Play Station (PSX) Emulators

PSX emulators have come a long way since the late 90s (those of you who have been around long enough pry remember that joke of an emulator called bleem!). Today, PSX emulators are nearly perfect, especially pSX and ePSXe. The emulators can either run the original CDs, or psx iso images. There are several tools available if you are one who wants to store all your original PSX games in iso format, to convert your CDs. Loading ISO images off the hard drive is a lot easier than having to fiddle with disks. In addition, all PSX emulators will require the PSX bios file (scph1001.bin). For obvious reason (especially those of who coming to this site since the late 90s), the bios file scph1001.bin is not, and will not be provided in any form here. ). The PlayStation was launched in Japan on December 3, 1994, the United States on September 9, 1995, Europe on September 29, 1995 and Asia-Pacific in November 1995. In America, The Playstation enjoyed a very successful launch with titles of almost every genre including Battle Arena Toshinden, Twisted Metal, Warhawk, Philosoma, and Ridge Racer. But of course the Playstation’s most popular game of all time has to be Gran Turismo.
