The MSX, released in Japan in 1983 is a computer I had never heard of prior to using the internet. It was however one of the first emulators I had ever used back in 1995-1996. In Japan and South Korea, the MSX was apparantly quite popular in the 80′s. The MSX was also popular in The Netherlands, Spain, Brazil, some Arab countries and the Soviet Union. The MSX had some games that caught my interest at the time i found the emulators for this, such as Xevious, Mappy, Gradius (nemesis), etc. The MSX 1 computer was also very similar in hardware to the Colecovision and Sega SG-1000 video game systems. They shared the same CPU and video processors. Their sound processors were also very similar.
|Quite possibly the best MSX emulator available.|
