Dolphin SVN r1813

Dolphin SVN r1813, Wii and Gamecube emulator for Windows. It also basic Triforce emulation (this is pending a commit, and does not run games yet). Gamecube compatibility is about the same Wii emulator support games show their intro movies. There is preliminary Wiimote emulation. This package also contains both 32bit and 64bit versions. Wiikey 2 (Update 1.2)

Wiikey allow you to boot backup WII games. It also allows you boot gamecube backups, and run some homebrew on the wii. This version has an Update Blocker feature has now been added to Wiikey 2 and is available as a DVD update in the resources section. By default, this new feature will block harmful other-region updates to your Wii, that are included in some games, but allow own-region updates. There is also a config option to block all updates regardless of region. Many thanks to the exhaustive testing provided by ModSupplier, OzModChips and Xavbox!

Another big bug fix to Dolphin SVN, Wii and Gamecube emulator for Windows. Dolphin R1157 has numerous changes and updates, including fixes to sound support. This package also contains both 32bit and 64bit versions. Download at our WII emulator page.

Accorin to MC, reports have surfaced that two hackers have been able to alter a save game from Zelda to crash the Wii machine and run their own custom code on it. The beauty of this hack is that there is no need to hard-mod your Wii in order to run the exploit and all you need to do is copy over over a Zelda file, load it and the code should run. However, the hack is very much in its infancy and the team has only so far managed to run 4 lines of code after a day’s work.

Gekko (Nintendo Gamecube Emulator) screenshots!

Knuckles, author of Gekko (Nintendo Gamecube emulator for Windows) has posted some a couple of screen shots of the emulator running Super Mario Sunshine (good textures, not weird colors like on dolphin) and Zelda: Windwalker!

This didn’t take long did it? Apparantly the Nintendo WII has already been hacked to play “backups”. For those of you interested (and i’m sure there are plenty), check out the video below. I’m amazed it took longer to crack the Gamecube than it did the WII. Nintendo will never learn.
