SMS Power has released a Japanese to English translation for the ROM Coca-Cola Kid. Translated by filler with help from a few others, this is basically a cut-scene translation so you can understand what’s going on. The original game is based on a Sonic the Hedgehog game engine but with a somewhat different game mechanic; now you can play through and understand why the kid (“Cokey”) is kicking telephone boxes and jumping around… he has to save his teacher from Team-Evil!

NightCrawler has released a Japanese to English translation for the SNES game Emerald Dragon.

DarknessSavior just released a preliminary patch for the SNES RPG: Fire Emblem (Japanese Title: Faia Emuburemu). The items and characters are translated and inserted, and now have space (thanks to KingMike’s double-line hack)! Most of the battle messages are translated too. However, there is a small bug. You cannot use shops, as currently he doesn’t know how to fix it. -.-

I saw over at Xbox-Scene that Nes6502 released a new version of ZsnexBox (XBox port of ZSNES)

Today marks the 73rd release of ZSNES, recognized as many as pry the best SNES emulator available for Windows, DOS and SDL (Linux). This is a full release, and NOT a Ipher WIP release. Nach posted that this release is mostly a bunch of bug fixes for things new and altered in v1.51. On the emulation side of things, they now finally have 224 lines displayed correctly, and some minor timing fixes. Major emulation core changes won’t be until a future release.
