WinUAE 1.5.3 beta 0.1 is easily the best Amiga emulator available for Windows.. WinUAE 1.5.3 beta 0.1 is the first beta of the WinUAE 1.5.3 beta cycle, although its more of just a “tweak” release.. This update has these changes since the last Win UAE release:
RomCenter is an application written for 32-bit Windows operating systems, designed to help you maintain and organize your emulators roms collection for various gaming systems including computers, consoles, arcade, calculators and handheld. You can add additional systems through external datafiles available on a lot of sites. RomCenter can audit your games and report which are working or not. It can fix problems such as bad name, missing roms available elsewhere, and clean your set by removing useless or bad roms and files.
AAE is a primarily vector based arcade system emulator/simulator written using C and OpenGL. It strives to recreate the experience of playing the games as they were in the arcade, and requires the original game ROMS in order to run. In some cases copies of the original sound files and artwork are required to complete the emulation experience. It provides for simulation options that are not available in MAME ™, and offers several features that are not available in MAME ™ due to their arcade preservation charter, such as advanced hardware based drawing and motion blur.

MAMEUI 0.127u5 (previously named MAME32) is a build of MAME with an integrated frontend. MAMEUI seems to be the popular choice for users of the MAME emulator, as its easier to deal with than a command link based version of MAME. This version of MAMEUI is available in both 32bit and 64bit versions. Download MAMEUI 0.127u5 at our MAME page.

MAMEXT32 V0.127u4, previously named MAMEXT is a cool unofficial version of MAMEUI with highscore save included. (You will need the hiscore.dat file in order to use this feature). MAMEXT32 also has some extra features that plain vanilla MAME doesn’t. MAMEXT64 .127u4 is the 64bit optimized version of the emulator, which will run on Windows 64bit operating systems. Wine 1.1.5 is an Open Source implementation of the Windows API on top of X, OpenGL, and Unix. Think of Wine as a compatibility layer for running Windows programs. Wine does not require Microsoft Windows, as it is a completely free alternative implementation of the Windows API consisting of 100% non-Microsoft code, however Wine can optionally use native Windows DLLs if they are available. Wine provides both a development toolkit for porting Windows source code to Unix as well as a program loader, allowing many unmodified Windows programs to run on x86-based Unixes, including Linux, FreeBSD, Mac OS X, and Solaris. In my local paper, the L.A. times, I read an interesting article about scammers trying to advertise “refurbished” consoles for sale. I am one of the few i guess that still doesn’t have one of those next-gen consoles. According to the paper, scammers are selling a factory-refurbished Wii for $19.99, or an Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 — including a one-year warranty and free shipping — for $34.99. That’s less than the price of a game remote.They were offered on several related websites, such as PS3-Bargains.com and ReurbishedWiis.com. The websites’ lists of frequently asked questions say the “slightly worn” systems are offered at such a low price — more than $150 less than anywhere else — because the site gets paid by sponsors “for every survey you fill out.” But customers are complaining that although their credit cards were billed, they never received the game consoles, let alone any surveys to complete. Surprised? Can’t say that I am. Heres a list of sites the L.A. times lists that you had better avoid (and i’m sure its nowhere near complete):
