WinUAE 1.5.1 RC1 is easily the best Amiga emulator available for Windows. As was mentioned in the previous WinUAE public beta series, versions from today on do NOT work on Windows 98/ME anymore. BTW, this is not a typo. WinUAE 1.5.1 RC1 is now considered in “release candidate stage”, which means the full release of WinUAE 1.5.2 is due in the coming days.  This update has these changes since the last Win UAE 1.5.1 public beta:

RC1 (few days or not):

- clear RTG screen when switching to different RTG mode
- d9dx9_36.dll set to delay load, winuae now runs without recent DX redistributable installed as long as D3D filter(s) aren’t used
- shaders moved to plugins\filtershaders\direct3d (perhaps opengl shaders will be implemented someday..)
- pixel shader filter on the fly change crashes fixed (I hope)
- adf was not updated if disk write DMA was aborted (Cadaver save)
