PSP custom firmware 3.71 is out! After Team M33’s “short break” from the PSP firmware “sk3n3″, which turned out to be a whole *1* day, they (or should I say, HE) is back with the release of custom PSP Firmware 3.71! “Team M33″ has also revealed that the so called “team” is the one and only Dark_AleX! Unfortunaley, according to his site, custom PSP Firmware 3.71 will be the last release from him. In the near future, Team M33 or Dark_AleX will be releasing a PSP Slim and PSP Fat Unbricker, and a 1.50kernel patch. These will be the last things you will see from Team M33/Dark_AleX according to him. A list of changes in this firmware is as follows:

Maxconsole has posted that the official Xbox Magazine(s) of Australia and Brazil have posted their reviews of Halo 3. Apparently Halo 3 has lived up to its hype and is a fabulous game, but the graphics seem to be nothing more than basically just Halo 2 in HD.

Makaron is a new Dreamcast emulator for Windows. This Dreamcast emulator is still in the testing stages but is able to run some commercial games, but still should be considered WIP and probably isn’t as advanced as nullDC or Chankast (at this point). Make sure you read the Makaron readme.txt file for info on configuring this Dreamcast emulator. Download at our Dreamcast emulator page.
Update 9/17/07 – Makaron Test 8 #3 now available for download
Bug in MakaronPAD 0.T.7.2 confirmed – you can’t assign A, B & START buttons.
I already fixed that and here is the update. Unpack and replace, that’s all.Remember, you can enable basic shadow handling in F12 menu – it just a hack but works with some games (Soul Calibur, Virtua Fighter, …)
And one more thing (apparently not all of you had a real Dreamcast): I’ve included memory card files preloaded with some saves and A1 is almost full. You can either:
* delete those files, MakaronVMU will create new ones (you need to format those in BIOS, just as with any new memory card on real hardware)
* format the existing cards in BIOS to clear them out, or simply delete few saves from them
* unpack empty and pre-formatted card images I’ve included in the 7z file named “Clean VMUs for dummies.7z” :]
