MAME V0.112
Today marks (if you can believe it), the 10th anniversary of the first release of MAME! Yes, on this date in 1997, Nicola Salmoria released MAME 0.1 whcih at the time supported the following games: Pac Man, Ms Pac Man (bootleg), Crush Roller (which in the US was called Make Trax), Pengo and Lady Bug. If you’d like to download the original release of MAME, you can do as at this link. (Please note this is DOS based). I would personally like to congratulate Nicola Salmoria, Aaron Giles, Mirko Buffoni and the rest of the MAME development team on the creation of what I think is the best thing ever written for any computer operating system ever! MAME is also the reason sites such as this and others existed then, and exist still today. Today’s release supports 6465 ROM sets and 3482 unique games). Anyway, onto the the actual release.
