Is MAMEPlus! Dead?

MAMEPlus, pry the most popular unofficial version of MAME hasnt been updated in awhile, and now comes this post (don’t know how legit it is) that the project is dead?.

Looks like the post was deleted so maybe it isn’t dead :)
